Kitsault History

There are approximately 90 single family and duplex dwellings, four of these dwellings serve as a managers residence and guest houses.

There are seven apartment buildings containing 210 bachelor, one and two bedroom units.

A shopping centre includes the facilities for a food store, restaurant, hardware and sporting goods store, dry goods store, liquor store, post office and specialty stores.

The recreational facilities include a swimming pool, gymnasium, racquet ball courts, craft room, library, curling rink, pub and three playgrounds.

Throughout the town site, all utilities including telephone and cable vision have been installed underground. Pavement, curbs and landscaping have enhanced the human engineered aspects of the town site. There is a complete sewage system with lift stations and sewage treatment plant. Design standards of Kitsault complied with provincial government requirements which could facilitate the possible incorporation of Kitsault as a municipal entity with the benefits of a local government.
